Weltklang Electronic Music

ZX81 In Concert

“Weltklang Live Electronic Music” is a project by Richard Aicher and Andreas Merz, born in 1978 in Munich. The two literally lock themselves up 24 hours a day in a closet creating endless sessions of electronic experimentation. Improvised music is created with instrumentation that can populate the dreams of all early electronic fetishists: Roland S-100 systems, Formant analog synthesizers, Jupiter 4, Mini Moog, PPG 1020, Roland Promars, Korg analog systems, Korg S-10, S-20, Korg sequencers. This “concert” was made in 1982, but it sounds like the Underground Resistance remixing Daft Punk Alive that would not arrive until 1997. Proto-Techno Monster!
